My Soap Dough Recipe

Yields about 51 ounces of Soap

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide) 5.14 oz.
Distilled Water 11.49 oz.
(10% water discount: 10.35 oz.)

CANOLA OIL 8.05 oz. 23%
PURE OLIVE OIL 7.00 oz. 20%
CASTOR OIL 0.70 oz. 2%
PALM OIL 8.75 oz. 25%
COCONUT OIL 8.75 oz. 25%
RICE BRAN OIL 1.75 oz. 5%

*If you swap any oils, please run the new recipe through a soap calculator. Not all oils have the same properties and/or SAP values, which can affect the amount of lye you will need.
*Try making soap dough with your own recipe! Just color and cover as I did in the video :)
*Mica Usage: the usage rate should be posted either on the website you purchased from or the package. Usually 1-2 tsp per pound. For example if I have 8 oz of soap batter to color, I use 1/2-1 tsp of mica.
