The Unassuming Arrival
In 2015, a charismatic German lands in Liverpool, proclaiming himself 'The Normal One.' Little did we know, the Premier League was about to be anything but normal.

Why 'normal'? Because Klopp brought something to football that seemed to have been lost – a genuine, unfiltered passion. His infectious laughter, his jubilant celebrations, and his heartfelt interactions with fans and players alike quickly endeared him to the Anfield faithful.

But to truly appreciate the magnitude of Klopp's impact on Liverpool and the Premier League, we must first turn back the pages to his early managerial phase at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.

Klopp's journey into the managerial spotlight began quietly at Mainz on 28 February, 2001. A humble start to what would become an illustrious career, perhaps beyond anything he could have initially imagined!

This is where Klopp began to shape his tactical vision, prioritizing teamwork, pressing, and an assertive playing style. Despite Mainz's limited resources, Klopp's ingenuity & principle propelled the team to secure Bundesliga promotion. Showcasing his ability with a mid-table team to innovate and succeed against the odds for seven years, Klopp got a call from Borussia Dortmund and started as a full-time coach from July 1, 2008, which marked the next phase of his managerial career.

At Borussia Dortmund, the Bundesliga saw the gradual implementation of a new system with a team full of young talented footballers like Robert Lewandowski, Ilkay Gundogan, Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and many others. Klopp transformed Dortmund into a European powerhouse, challenging the dominance of Bayern Munich and capturing two Bundesliga titles in back-to-back 2011 and 2012 seasons.

His Dortmund team was characterized by a relentless pressing system, later known as 'gegenpressing,' captivating fans with their dynamic and attacking football.
