Basins and Beer: Weekly Update: Oil Markets and Application Status

I’ve reached the end of another workday enjoying a Funslinger lager from Breckenridge, and I want to catch you up on where things stand with oil markets and with our ESA Analytics application.
Oil prices, energy stocks, and rig counts are still sliding, oil is down $13/bbl since last month, stocks are down 12% since last month, and rig counts are down 29 since last year

So the industry is struggling, but our application is here to help.

I’ve got several scripts crunching new data. Over the last week we added Virginia and Illinois - they are currently caching on the server so another 24 hours before they are visible in the app. This week we’ll add Indiana and Kentucky. And we’ve added more resources to Louisiana to speed things up a bit.

I’m headed home but my computers will work through the night to fill in the map, and make our site even better.
