Before I start an abstract painting, I usually think about the mood, energy, or feeling I want the piece to express. That intention becomes my anchor throughout the creative process.

For me, intuitive abstract painting is not about perfection or technical skill alone. It’s about staying connected to the vibe, emotion, and atmosphere I want the artwork to carry. That’s often what gives a painting its strongest voice.

Sometimes we discover the meaning as we paint… and sometimes setting an intention first helps guide every mark, texture, and layer.
