Clyde Shelton, a researcher living in a Philadelphia town, leads a happy life with his beautiful wife and lovely daughter. However, a sudden tragedy shatters everything: one night, two intruders break into his home, and both his wife and daughter are harmed. Despite strong evidence, due to the rigidity of the judicial process and the negligence of Assistant District Attorney Nick Rice, the main culprit, Clarence Dobie, receives only a 10-year sentence due to technicalities in the evidence.
When the past seems laid to rest, the long-dormant storm reignites a decade later. Driven by deep-seated vengeance, Clyde begins to orchestrate his retribution—first dealing with the accomplice Ami, then tracking down the vicious Dobie and exacting severe punishment upon him.
