Better Faux Stained Glass w/ Blue Tape + Clear Coat

In this video I discover what I think is the best way to make faux stained glass with wood and resin. After a failed first attempt unseeing an ill-advised modification on the "packing tape method I decided to try painters tape. I also had the idea to spray it with a clear coat first, and you don't even have to watch the video, I'll tell you right now, it worked really well! But uh, still watch the video, please... I mean if you want to, that'd be nice.

How is it that the most basic of solutions, can be looking us right in the face and we are oblivious to them? I have no idea why I didn't think to simply separate the resin out into smaller cups. It's like this time, I had 4 cups for sorting coins into, and I labeled them, quarters, nickels, dimes, & pennies. I was just about the start pealing off the labels on nickels, to switch it with the one on dimes... when I realized, just move the cups dumb dumb. Honestly, my only defense in these situations is, I am blond after all ;)

... or maybe it's the cups!? I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
