On The Road To Morocco's Rif(er) Mountains (#122)
Ready for a cross country adventure in Morocco? I decided to travel from Tangier, a port city overlooking Europe, to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. This whole region was famous for numerous things: wars between continents, amazing views, the Berber language and culture, and most especially for having a lot of hash farms. I wasn't sure what I'd find on this trip, but it was time to find out.
We would find out along the way if I could integrate myself with the Amazigh, or Berber people. Or would I just get overcharged at the tourist shops..
