On October 25-27, 2022, the Samuel DuBois Center for Social Equity at Duke University held The Pandemic Divide Conference at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, North Carolina.
The conference featured scholars, practitioners, philanthropists, journalists, faculty and students, and other interested participants from the local community and regional and national publics.The conference explored Covid-19’s impact on wealth, entrepreneurship, health, housing, employment and education, with an emphasis on determination of steps that could have been taken to mitigate the full impact of a pandemic and offer concrete public policy solutions that would allow the nation to effectively respond to future crises.
