The sale was led by Andy Warhol’s monumental ‘Flowers’ painted in 1969. The painting sold for $35.48M. This rare version of Warhol’s iconic motif was painted using fluorescent pigments.

Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Coin de jardin avec papillons’ fetched the second highest price at $33.18M. The painting demonstrates the artist’s willingness to embrace a brighter colour palette and lighten his brushstroke in his naturalist exploration.
