What Defines Success? - Be Creative Roundtable Discussion | Full Sail University

Every year, Full Sail inducts six outstanding graduates into the the Hall of Fame, where they serve as industry ambassadors for the next generation of creatives. We sat down with a group of Hall of Fame inductees to talk about success – what defines it, and most importantly, how to achieve it in the competitive world of arts and entertainment.
Charity Lomax - Recording Arts, 1994

As a tour manager/production coordinator, Charity has traveled the world with several well-known artists, including Aerosmith, Queen Latifah, and the Pussycat Dolls. Her job entails handling the logistics for a tour, taking care of everything from booking travel to overseeing the crew. From 2013 to 2015, Charity was the production coordinator for the legendary rock band the Eagles on their History of the Eagles World Tour.
Elbert Perez - Game Design and Development, 2005

Elbert has used his passion for both the technical and creative sides of video gaming as a driving force in his career. Currently the co-founder and chief technical officer of Doghead Simulations, Elbert had previously served as Senior VR Developer with HTC Creative Labs – contributing to the cutting-edge of virtual reality through his work on the HTC Vive.
Leslie Brathwaite - Recording Arts, 1992

After graduating from Full Sail, Leslie made his way up to Atlanta, where he started assisting producer Dallas Austin, earning credits on albums like Boyz II Men's II and Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. From there, opportunities poured in, and Leslie established himself as a go-to mix engineer and producer, working with artists including Jay Z, Madonna, T.I., and more.
Ric Viers - Film, 1996

Ric is known as the "rock and roll professor of sound" – and it's a much-deserved title for the 1996 Film grad. In his nearly two-decade career, Ric is credited with location sound work that's been used in hundreds of productions. His company, Blastwave FX, is the world's largest producer of sound effects libraries for film, TV, and video games.
Stephen Beres - Film, 2004

Stephen currently serves as vice president of HBO’s Media, Technology & Production Operations group. Stephen leads a West Coast-based team of technologists who develop digital production and interactive experiences for acclaimed television shows such as Silicon Valley, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and cultural phenomenon Game of Thrones.
Steve Switaj - Film, 1992

After graduating from Full Sail, Steve moved to Hollywood, where he appealed to studios by showing off his technical expertise. He started working as a motion control camera operator, and it has since garnered him dozens of credits, including Coraline, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sin City.
