Order and patterns in randomness by Abhishek Dhar
Einstein Lectures
Order and patterns in randomness
Speaker: Abhishek Dhar (ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru)
Date: 28 February 2020, 09:30 to 10:30
Venue: Kuvempu Auditorium, C V Raman Block, REVA University, Bengaluru
The talk will describe how physicists and mathematicians find hidden patterns and information in apparently random looking events. I will try to do this through the examples of the Random Walk, Brownian Motion, many particle systems in Statistical Physics, and finally a card trick.
