🔥 Best Crimper Tool 🏆 Klein Crimper (& Stripper) 🧰 Tool Tuesday 🛠️ surprise breakage @ the end

Today, I show off my new Klein crimper tool that goes by the model number 3005CR. Along with that, I got a new crimp connector kit / set with lots of different types of, you guessed it, connectors. Of course, all of that would mean nothing if I didn't have a super cool Klein Katapult to go with it, which is a wire cutter and stripper tool that goes by the model # 11063W.

I also wanted to show off (and see for myself) how this new crimper will handle the new heat-shrinking connectors and how the Katapult prepares the wires by cutting and stripping them. Spoiler Alert: both tools (and the connectors) performed extremely well.

Speaking of heat shrinking, I also have a nice kit of marine heat shrink tubing and a 1,500W dual-speed heat gun from Harbor Freight, but I couldn't link to those specific products on Amazon so I found a few other options which you can see below. Two of the heat shrink tubing kits actually have a 4:1 shrink ratio, which is amazing. Usually you'll get 3:1 as a good standard, but 4:1 is game-changing. Another thing I wanted to try out, which has nothing to do with these Klein tools but more with wire connecting, was the new heat shrinking connectors I got with solder, ready to melt onto the wires, built right in. They seemed to perform really well, except I overcooked it a little bit and did the pull test a little too early while the connection was still hot, which resulted in a surprise breakage / stretching of the connector. It's definitely something you're going to want to see. I've never seen anything like it.
