This is an install video for our industry best steering system for a 94-02 2500 or 3500 4x4 Ram truck.
These trucks have a terrible reputation for bad steering and for many reasons they should. But people often view the cause as mysterious or pinpoint the wrong parts as the reason.
Yes the steering boxes are often sloppy, and a fresh one with a brace to try to stabilize the sector shaft can help.
However the same Y or T style steering systems keep getting utilized over and over, even though they inherently are a bad design.
Also conversion type track bar drop brackets are common to get rid of the lousy frame joint of the original track bar, but they often have weak joints of their own and definitely still incorporate a short bar that does not attempt eliminate bump steer.
Our system is a fresh take, rather than a bandage. New track drop bracket, allowing a long nearly equal length track bar to match the true crossover drag link, engineered around a system with proper geometry to completely eliminate bump steer. Heavy duty heat treated chromoly 7/8 rod ends and 1.5” dom steel tubing.
It’s such a good system that even when paired with a lousy condition steering box it still cleans up the way the truck drives over any other system.
