Gov. Andrew Cuomo speaks on coronavirus response as cases surge in New York - 4/2/2020

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo holds a news conference on the COVID-19 outbreak, which has infected more than 84,000 people in the state as of Thursday morning. On Wednesday, Cuomo announced he would close New York City's playgrounds after warning residents for weeks that he would do so if people didn't abide by new rules designed to reduce density and help curb the outbreak. New York City accounts for more than half of the coronavirus infections across the state at 47,439 as of Wednesday, according to data Cuomo released.
