Lego Star Destroyer set 75252 unbox and speed build

The Imperial Star Destroyer is one the more recognizable and iconic starships from all of Sci-Fi. In the opening scene of A New Hope you are instantly introduced to this massive ship (Devastator) bearing down on Princess Leia's diplomatic ship (Tantive IV).

This set includes the Imperial Star Destroyer Devastator and the Consular Ship Tantive IV. This set has nearly 5,000 pieces and was a challenging build. Most of the challenge was in dealing with the inadequate stands used to support the heavy weight of the starship. Any slight movement would cause the supports to start swaying to the point it would cause the whole ship to topple over. There was also the issue of a few missing pieces that needed to be replaced before the build could continue.

I will give Lego credit, they fully stand behind their products. You can go to their site and report the missing piece and they will send a replacement in 7-10 days. After completing the build and having the supports crash it into pieces both times I attempted to move it, I contacted their support line. They sent me a return form and agreed to give me credit once they get it back. That is amazing product support in my eyes.

My suggestion is to avoid this set until they do something to make the support stands stronger and less wobbly.
