How I Got CONFIDENCE to Dye My Hair Red

Hi!

I have been wanting to do this video for awhile because it is something that is very personal and close to my heart. I struggled with being bullied when I was growing up (mainly in elementary / middle school) and among the many things I would get teased about (weight / glasses / skin) ... what resonated most was the color of my hair. Even though I didn't have red hair in middle school, kids would tease me for being a ginger and it really made me upset. Perhaps it made me the most upset because I didn't actually have red hair so it was frustrating to be teased for something that wasn't even true.

In this video, I'm sharing my "coming of age" hair transformation and why I ultimately dyed my hair the color that caused me so much pain as a little kid.
