Do's and Don'ts for Resin Feathering Swirl Technique, by Jennifer at Dream Dust Designs
In this video about feathering (or some people refer to as swirls) tutorial by Dream Dust Designs, Jennifer covers her process of how she creates a basic feathering technique with resin & epoxy pigment pastes, along with some of the Do's and Don'ts.
Some people prefer to use a very fine mist of 99% alcohol at the end for any bubbles that may rise after the manipulating. If doing this, it must be very fine mist, so it doesn't ruin the finish on the cure or effect cure process. If you use a torch (keep flame down low as possible). A barbecue lighter will suffice on smaller pieces. Just be sure to keep flame away from the resin and the moulds, or you can accidentally fuse your resin to your mould, ruining both your art and your mould. Avoid using a heat gun to pop bubbles on this project style, as the added air flow may ruin the design you worked for.
