I reached out to Carter Weeks Maddox, the founder and nose behind Chronotope Perfume, with visions in my head. I wanted to experiment with some trippy visuals that his perfumes sparked.

Glass, distortion, reflection, refraction, slitscan, bending and binding time and space.

Honestly, I’m low key obsessed with every idea behind Chronotope Perfumes and it’s aesthetic. Beyond that, I’m in awe of Carter and what his brilliant mind and bold heart unfold everyday. I’ve learned a great deal from him about world history, chemical compounds and politics to... salted butter.

I’m unbelievably floored that he agreed to send me some finger printed bottles (sans parfum) so I could celebrate his discovery set.

Carter was also generous enough to reward my efforts by trading a lovely little bottle of my choice (the opposite of sans-parfum.) Art for art. My favorite trade. It took me a while to decide but I picked Buen Camino. I love the story behind it and Carter’s connection with it. Thank you Carter!
