The investors, many of them college age, are banding together on the online forum Reddit and buying stock in struggling companies like GameStop. It started when a Reddit group named “r/WallStreetBets” began encouraging members to begin buying stock in $GME. We spoke to some of the investors. One college student turned six shares bought for $180 into $1,600.
