The Heroes of Longhope - A tribute by the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra

The Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra commemorates the brave heroes of the Longhope lifeboat crew, who lost their lives 50 years ago in 1969, whilst selflessly trying to help others in trouble at sea.

Arranged by the late John M Mason MBE, this performance by the Orchestra of "The Heroes of Longhope" was part of the AFO concert at Ayr Town Hall in December 2019 and helped raise funds for the RNLI and in particular for the local lifeboat stations at Girvan, Troon and Largs.
