The Japanese forest farmer
Meet and hear about the life of Hiromasa Kurisu, a remarkable 7th generation forester and farmer from the Kii Mountains of Wakayama. In a country where 94% of the population now live in cities, Hiromasa is striving to ensure that Japanese people maintain their traditional connections to the mountains, forests and rivers.
