Yorkshire Dales Country Walk Hannah Hauxwell This is my Life

Our video is a guided circular walk about the life of Hannah Hauxwell who lived at Low Birk Hatt Farm at Baldersdale in Yorkshire Dales on the edge of County Durham. Starting from Hury Reservoir we walk along its shore to Blackton Reservoir. At the end of Blackton Reservoir we take a look at Low Birk Hatt Farm where Hannah Hauxwell lived in the 1970's we then continue to pass through her flower meadow. Just before Baldersdale Reservoir we head down to the River Balder and continue on the Pennine Way at the other side of Blackton and Hury Reservoirs.
This is an easy low level walk on grass/gravel/tarmac paths and tracks. There are some gates and stiles.
Elevation: approx lowest point 260.50m (854.66ft) approx highest point 337.90m (1108.60ft) approx ascent 142.40m (467.19ft)
Approx 6.6 miles allow 2½ - 3 hours using OS Explorer Map OL31, North Pennines, Teesdale and Weardale. This walk is done anti-clockwise.
Start point: car park on the north side of Hurry Reservoir dam.
