On 14 July 2015, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran, the P5+1 and the EU was announced.

Over two years later, following US President Donald Trump's recent decision to decertify the Iran nuclear deal, two diplomats at the heart of the negotiations with Iran - John Kerry and Catherine Ashton - reflect on the effectiveness of the JCPOA thus far and assess the adherence to its terms by all signatory countries.
