NGV Design Store | Ryan Foote

Splitting his time between Melbourne and Hong Kong, Ryan L Foote is an innovative artist and designer, who turns his hand to everything from food and drink development to ceramics and space design and installations. In this video, Ryan discusses his new collection of tableware inspired by the NGV's exhibition "Van Gogh and the Seasons". Ryan has drawn inspiration from Van Gogh’s depictions of the natural world as well as his use of pronounced horizon lines and strong tonal contrasts featured in many of his landscape works. Each piece is delicately crafted using the finest white porcelain in Ryan’s workshop in Melbourne and is exclusive to the NGV design store.
