Two Airlifted After Mountain Biking Accident

A group of friends were out for a ride on the local trails, when one of the group crashed another crashed into him as well further injuring the rider. The two others in the group called for help and after authorities went on scene they found it pretty difficult to extract the riders from the canyon they were in. Firefighters requested the assistance of the Orange County Sheriff's Air Support (DUKE3) to assist as well as their own helicopter to extract the patients, who suffered multiple traumas and were in need of immediate medi-vac. With the help from the coordinated air transport the two men were able to be taken to a local trauma center in unknown condition.
