The dying light of the music video as we knew it, and the one TV network who put MTV, VH1, and even MuchMusic on blast for not playing enough of them. This is the story of Fuse, how they started, their mission statement ‘Where Music Lives’, and their ultimate downfall that coincided with the death of the music video in the early 2010s, before finding new life as an art form thanks to the digital age & YouTube.

If you’re reading, comment on your favorite Fuse/music video related nostalgic memories growing up! We covered a lot of ground on this one, bouncing from the networks themselves to artists/bands like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Gorillaz, 50 Cent, The Starting Line, Green Day, Taking Back Sunday, System of a Down, The Postal Service, and many more.

We also talk about the Fuse TV series themselves, like The Daily Download, Uranium Metal Show, Steven’s Untitled Rock Show, Warped Wednesdays, Top 20 Countdown, 100%, Comp'd, Loaded, 7th Avenue Drop, Oven Fresh, & more that will probably set off waves of nostalgia!
