Watched Solar Eclipse With Binoculars - Ouch! What Not To Do - How To Do It Better

On the day that the 2017 Solar eclipse occurred, we were on a road trip but decided to pull off the highway at the right time, get out a pair of binoculars and white foam board and do this. Verbal and visual instructions with suggestions for improvement. The place we were at when the forecasted time arrived was in Mena, Arkansas, where there would be a partial eclipse. Here's how we viewed it. This is both tongue-in-cheek and a little educational.

BONUS: Also included was our view from the room at the Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge atop Rich Mountain. While there, I saw some long ugly stick insects. I did not have my camera handy to photograph a "Walking Stick" bug that I saw, but I included video I saw of some ugly long bugs that were fatter than the walking sticks. Anyone know what they are?

Shot with Cannon T5i with EF-S 18-55 IS STM. Probably better if auto-focus were disabled but it's hard to focus from screen with sun behind. Narration mic was an Electro-Voice RE 20.
