Ming: The Adoration of the Magi, by Andrea Mantegna 三王朝拜圣婴

Curator Jessica Harrison-Hall discussed Mantegna's Adoration of the Magi (about 1495 – 1505), on loan from the JP Getty Museum. In the painting is a Yongle blue-and-white bowl filled with gold offered to the Christ child.

The painting is one of the star objects in the current BP exhibition Ming: 50 years that changed China at the British Museum 18 September 2014 – 5 January 2015
