Tariffs, the Federal Reserve Bank, AI and the deficits effect on the economy all were covered by Dr. Marci Rossell-McCarthy, a world-renowned economist and financial expert, at his South Haven Speakers Series Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Lake Michigan College - South Haven campus.
Rossell-McCarthy, known internationally for her clear and engaging analysis, has advised governments, financial institutions, and corporations on global economic trends. Her compelling presentation style provides a vital connection between financial markets and the everyday lives of citizens.
Rossell-McCarthy earned her Ph. D. in economics from Southern Methodist University, where she was named "Young Alumni of the Year".
She is the former Chief Economist for CNBC and former co-host of the well-known "pre-market" morning news and talk show Squawk Box.
