Hi Glovellers, this is Episode 2 of my Kedarnath Yatra completed in NOV 2020. In this part, I have covered kedarnth trek from Gaurikund in single day.
The trek to Kedarnath starts from Gaurikund base camp (perched at an elevation of 1980 m above the sea level), till Kedarnath(3583 m). The trek has changed since the 2013 flood disaster in Uttrakhand and since then the 14 km trek to Kedarnath has increased to a 18-20 km trek.

The New Trek Route to Kedarnath is given below; Reach at Gaurikund through shared taxi from Sonprayag---Gaurikund to Jungle Chatti---Jungle Chatti to Bheembali---Bheembali to Linchauli---Linchauli to Kedarnath Base Camp--Kedarnath Base Camp to Kedarnath Temple.

Some information regarding travel to Uttarakhand and Dham yatra Now: You need to apply for e-pass and will be asked to attach aadhar card/DL/Passport and share vehicle number if travelling by car/cab. E-pass and Char Dham Biometric registration is a compulsory document for those who are planning to visit Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri temples in Uttarakhand. The facility for getting the document of biometric registration is easy to get. The biometric registration for Char Dham or Do dham yatra can be done either way online or offline. The registration helps the government to track all the movements and information about the pilgrimage for security of pilgrims.
