Doubting Your Salvation

Have you ever wondered if you were really saved? Do you know for a fact that the Spirit of Christ is living in you? Just because a person calls them self a Christian or because they go to church, read their bible, serve in the church, go on mission trips, volunteer, etc...that does NOT mean they have truly been born again. How can you know if you actually have the Spirit of Christ living in you?

Many, many, many people that call themselves "Christians" have never been born again by the Spirit of Christ and received a new nature. They still have their old nature and they have added an intellectual belief and religious practice to it. This results in a false disciple of Christ. They often end up in a very dry, joyless, frustrated and fruitless life and unless they are ACTUALLY born again, there is no way to go to heaven, regardless of how much church attending or bible reading they did.

After listening to a compelling sermon about false believers, by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, a family member of mine became very concerned about the validity of their faith in Christ after all these years and wisely reached out for some answers. They questioned their salvation and just as Paul warns about in Romans 8 and 2 Corinthians 13:5, they began to wonder if the Spirit of Christ was really in them. I put together this message so they could know exactly how to be filled with the Spirit of Christ and be assured that they were truly born again. A message for all Christians.
