APW Local Heroes - Gerald Raphael

The Local Heroes Series is a feature on the staff that make it happen here on the Maasai Steppe. Our team includes everyone from the officers to the cooks, and we couldn't do what we do without each and every one of them.

Gerald Raphael is the head of the Village Game Scouts, a part of our Big Cats Initiative Warriors for Wildlife team that is sponsored by us to protect the community's resources by conducting wildlife counts, patrolling for poaching and charcoal burning, and helping with our big cat research.
