People don't really talk about performance anxiety in climbing. And, if we're talking about fear, it's mostly in the context of falling or injury. And, as someone who's ridiculously anxious, I know this video is not going to be for everyone! If you're someone who doesn't really feel this typa way when climbing, then that's AMAZING! First off, hey!! So glad you got my letter. This week has been such a whirlwind. Work has been tough, I don't feel productive all the time, and I sometimes put a lot of pressure on myself. I know you understand what it's like to expect a lot from yourself!! Also (lol) I don't get that much hate on my channel (it happens tho) but a couple of days ago someone wrote a mean comment about how my eyeliner sucked! At first I got super mad, because my eyeliner is a huge part of my personal brand and I feel 5000% more confident with it on. Well, it only took one mean comment for me to wipe my eyeliner off :"( And that was a horrible thing for me to do! Sometimes people on the internet will say hurtful things for reasons I'll never understand. I know that as long as I upload videos, I'll have these weirdos drifting by to insult me. Well! Let's just say! That this might be a blessing in disguise, since I'm actually a highly sensitive person by nature. These comments might finally teach me how to stand up for myself and confront criticism, constructive or not. Whoo! What a rant! Anyways! I hope you're doing well :-) Do you have any plans for the weekend? Are you climbing outside soon? What do you have planned!! I'd love to hear from you :-)
