How to Update Firmware on OLD SJ4000

Since I published my original SJ4000 Camera Setup video (https://youtu.be/gOgmMlyvbFw), I've received a lot of comments from viewers who think that my camera is not an authentic SJ4000. In actuality, it is a real SJ4000 and I explain why in this video.

There's a lot of misconception with these unbranded, early-release SJ4000s. Not everyone realizes that the first batch of cameras produced did not have the branding of "SJCAM," the company which makes these cameras. In fact, during the initial run of SJ4000 cameras, there wasn't even a company named "SJCAM." They were called the Shenzhen Hongfeng Century Technology Company. Smartly, they decided to brand themselves as SJCAM due to the number of fake SJ4000s that were starting to flood the market.

People have also noted that the operating system (firmware) shown in this video is not what you see on the SJ4000s of today. Hence, they think it is a knock-off. What people fail to realize is that the firmware on this camera is the old ORIGINAL firmware. Yes, it does look different.

All this to say that this is indeed a REAL SJ4000 camera! The SJCAM company refers to these early batch cameras as the "SJ4000 Basic."
