RCPCH Stroke in Childhood guidelines - key messages and recommendations
Stroke is an important childhood disorder, affecting several hundred children and young people in the UK annually. In 2017 the RCPCH published guidance on 'Stroke in Childhood'.
In this webinar Dr Vijeya Ganesan (Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Neurology, UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, London) will highlight the key messages and recommendations from the guidelines and highlight new diagnostic and interventional pathways.
Top benefits for attendees :
• To ask questions directly to those involved in the guideline development, in relation to the guideline and its recommendations
• To understand the patient pathway, from presentation to acute care and longer-term management of medical issues and rehabilitation
By the end of this webinar, it is hoped that delegates will:
• have an increased awareness and better understanding of how to diagnose and treat a child presenting with stroke
• be aware of best practice evidence base around stroke in children
Target audience
This webinar is suitable for:
• All paediatricians (all grades, particularly those with SI in neurology)
