It's not every day someone offers you the keys to their trusted Porsche, fortunately for me my friend George is a proud owner of a Grand Prix White Porsche 944. And recently he was kind enough, or perhaps stupid enough, (whichever way you wish to interpret it) to give me the keys to his lovely 1986 example.
The Porsche 944 was the successor to the 924, a car which failed to win the hearts of the automotive world and a vehicle which many accuse of utilising a feeble a van engine from VW.
The 944 was Porsche's entry level sports car designed for everyday use and it has since been hailed as one of the best handling sports cars ever built.
In this video I explore what the 944 is like to drive on a daily basis, discuss its flaws, drivability and comments on its overall personality.
