Drilling a water well (Redneck Style)

Many people have questioned my water well, about what I use it for, etc.. I put this down, just so I could water the one acre I sit on, and this past year, I actually had no choice by to drink from it. We had a major storm that knocked out our power, electricity and water. I have a small generator, and connected it to my water pump. Because, I never had it tested, we did not drink it straight from the well, though I have a few times when working in the yard, hot and dying of thirst. I really believe there is no problem with the water, since we have artisian springs all around me, we still put the water in a pot and boiled it for about 20 minutes. None of us got sick, and we were actually able to cook, wash our face, and have water to drink, after our storm. I ended up sharing with my neighbors, but begged them to boil before drinking. I highly recommend, if you are going to drink water that hasn't been tested, please boll it first.
