It took me a while but I got it! Aurora - The River Reaction

I listened to Aurora’s song The River for the first time tonight. I was instantly met by that lovely gentle vocal line that showed off the lighter side to her voice.

The song was clearly about emotions and how they should be embraced and used to move on from them. You should let the river flow.

At first I thought when she was cutting the leaves, she was dealing with her emotion and cutting symbolised the emotion was no longer there, but in the end I got it! The cutting of the leaves was the opposite. She had been suppressing her feelings and hiding them from the world, so they couldn’t be seen. When she eventually let the emotions show, they actually grew into something beautiful.... such a great message.

I’m starting to really like Aurora and I want to see more of her for sure! Let me know what you thought of it!
