Create your Data Source for Power Bi or Pivot Table Report direct from Primavera P6

To create Power-BI or Pivot-Table reports, it required comprehensive database. We can use Primavera P6 as scheduling software to copy the required data into Excel to have our source data

Primavera P6 and MS Excel are the excellent tools to gear up our reports for Power-BI or Pivot Table. P6 data for activity and resource assignment windows can be copied into Excel. Excel provided following use full commands to generate further data;

a) Create Tables
b) POWER-Query to transpose the vertical data distribution to horizontal one
c) Unpivot columns in Power Query
d) Min() and Max() command to compute project start/finish
e) Vlookup formula
f) Sum and SumIFs
