Tacoma vs 4Runner Off Road | DIRTIEST My Truck Has Ever Been - 4Runner ATRAC doesn't get stuck!

Took my 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road and my friend's Toyota 4Runner out to do some off-roading and mudding. It was a good time out on the trail and neither of us got stuck.
We did, however, recover a lady in a 2WD Ram from the same mud hole that the lifted Xterra got stuck in.

This was definitely the dirtiest my truck has ever been. The mud was clay and super sticky so clean up was a nightmare, but it was worth it.

This was my first time off-roading with a 4Runner. I was really surprised with how well the 4Runner ATRAC system worked.. the 4Runner got up an obstacle first try that I didn't get up until I locked the diff. The Tacoma off road is obviously a beast since it has a locker, but the 4Runner off road ability really surprised me.

As far as the 4Runner vs Tacoma, I felt that the Tacoma performed better over faster bumpy terrain (Eibach kit in Tacoma, Rough Country in 4Runner) and generally got through most obstacles smoother. Only exception was the areas that favor a shorter wheel base (where I had to lock the diff)

Overall it was a blast getting out on the trail and getting muddy!
