Are exercises that incorporate a lot of muscle groups like this good (not compound exercises). My view is it depends on the goal. In this instance the main exercise being performed is the dumbbell row, so the best way to build muscle during this would be to be on stable footing a perform the exercise that way.
If the goals is muscle building then No.
But if the goal is functionality, enjoyment or you have limited time/equipment, then the answer can be Yes.
