When Louis XIV decided to move his court to Versailles, the palace turned into the center of France's royal world. French royals and nobles were living together in this massive complex, and although women were actively surrounded by political powers, they had none for themselves. In fact, there might have been more expectations than pleasures dominating their life. And although Versailles was a massive palace it was impossible to have time for yourself.
