A PRAYING MOM

As a young boy, Christian Paul was an independent, stubborn lad who didn’t mind going against the opinions and desires of his parents! At one very critical time in Christian's life, before making a decision that he might later regret, his mother teamed up with God in prayer to reach the heart of her son. Touched by the prayers and life of his mother, Christian was later inspired to compose “A Praying Mom,” encouraging other mothers to continue being an infinite influence to change lives!

DEDICATION

My mom and especially her prayers for me have impacted my life deeply! She has spent her whole life investing in my sister and me, patiently teaching us lessons that we carry in our hearts until this day! Last year I decided to compose a song for her birthday expressing what she meant to me!

As I saw her moved to tears, I decided I wanted to dedicate this song as a gift for all mothers around the world who may need a reminder of the difference they make and what an awesome thing it is that they exist! I also started meeting other sons and daughters that resonated with my experience expressed in “A Praying Mom,” and I wanted them to have this message to share with their mothers as well!

LYRICS

Just as a little baby I started life on her arms,
Too small to realize what a privilege, she was my mom!
She would pour out her whole life to raise me in the fear of God,
But never would imagine what an influence on me she had!

REFRAIN: It was a praying mom that brought me before God’s throne!
It was a praying mom that wrestled with God for my soul!
And I know I would be down some lost road and dark path,
Were it not for God’s grace and a praying mom!

Under a home roof she is found, weeping before her God,
Requesting strength and wisdom as to know how to raise me up.
Angels attended each prayer, and God sent the needed help.
Still, sometimes she would wonder if her work was good enough.

As many years have gone by, I look to that loving mom.
And she is still there for me, always bringing my life to God!
And her love never grows old; her friendship is always sweet!
Today I know God better through her selfless life of love!
A MESSAGE TO EACH MOTHER

Dear Mother,

At the end of the day of doing a repetitive round of duties, you may feel you have accomplished nothing compared to the temporary success that your husband or others are achieving. Throughout the day you work hard, trying to keep things in order and make the kids and husband happy, pouring out your life for others. Sometimes not even they may see all your sacrifice, and instead, quickly point out your mistakes. At times you feel like giving up.

Or maybe you are one of the many mothers that have done your best to direct your children down a good path, but they have made decisions that have broken your heart. For years, you have tried to help them and pray for them, but it seems all hope is gone. Please, don’t give up! Your prayers, love, patience, and life are seeds that are not planted in vain! Sooner or later you will see that God will pay you tenfold for all your effort and sacrifice!
