US Marines are a familiar sight in the Northern Territory, after 10 years in the Top End | ABC News

The United States Marine Corp has been training in Darwin for a decade and their presence is growing each year. The partnership has seen the US government invest millions in infrastructure to further American interests in Australia and the Pacific. But the work they do here, is often out of sight. The ABC joined the Marines as they worked alongside the Australian Defence Force on a humanitarian response exercise on the Tiwi Islands.
