DIY modern wood & acrylic photo stand
We were sponsored by the HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer here: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/printers/envy-photo-printers.html?jumpid=sc_45irbwm97p👇 materials & description below! 👇
We partnered with HP to bring more photos into our space. We both paint so our walls are filled with art. Not a bad problem to have, but it didn’t leave much space for photos. However, we have these dining room shelves with extra space, so we sprung for some nice cherry hardwood (#treatyoself) to build this photo stand. HP makes it easy to print really nice photos from our phone and we’re super excited to bring more and more into our house. Might just need to build a few more photo stands. #partner

A few more thoughts on the project... Clamping the angle for this was definitely the most difficult part, though it was by no means impossible. We ended up coming up with a clamp technique that can really clamp any angle, so we'll use the technique in the future too. Also, we were so impressed by how the grain of the cherry lined up on the backing of our photo stand. We're glad we made a photo stand instead of a photo frame because more of the wood gets to show through. The metal stand offs and the acrylic give it a modern vibe which we also like. This DIY photo stand was really fun to make and we already have family requesting that we make one for them too!
