Bleeding Disorders and Drugs - Symptoms, Diagnosis and Pathways
Bleeding disorders can be very complicated! There are lists of bleeding disorders and it can be almost impossible to remember everything. Today we're going to make learning bleeding disorders such as hemophilia and drugs such warfarin easy...you're goin to be a pro and crush the exams!

Ok, awesome! Now that you've watched that video on the foundation of bleeding you're ready to take on this video and learn all of the bleeding disorders and anticoagulants!
We're going to cover many of the most important bleeding disorders and drugs including antiplatelet and anticoagulant agents. We're going to do a few things in this video and after it I know you're going to feel like you can crush all of those MCQs on this difficult subject and be confident on the wards, in the OR and in the ICU.

Here are the goals:
1.). Review the mechanisms of primary hemostasis, fibrin formation and fibrinolysis. (A brief brief review of the first video)
2.). Understand the antiplatelet agents including drug targets and therapy
3.). Know the diseases associated with primary hemostasis including Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia and Bernard-Soulier Syndrome.
4.). Evaluate all of common anticoagulants including Vitamin K antagonists, Heparin, Low Molecular Weight Heparin and Fondaparinux.
5.). Know the common bleeding diatheses including Hemophilia A, B and Liver disease
6.). Understand fibrinolysis and DIC including it's triggers and pathogenesis.
