U=U in HIV: Self Management
People living with HIV deserve to have a central role in managing their treatment and care. Here, experts and organisations from across the UK talk about U=U and what it means in this area.
U=U confirms that people with HIV who achieve and maintain an undetectable viral load (Undetectable) have no risk of sexually transmitting HIV to a susceptible partner (Untransmittable). Remember, an undetectable HIV viral load only prevents HIV transmission to sexual partners. Condoms also help prevent HIV transmission as well as other STls and pregnancy.
