Govt doesn’t ‘know enough’ to ‘pick a winner’ amid investment in PsiQuantum

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge says the government doesn’t “know enough” to invest in PsiQuantum.

This comes amid the Australian government’s decision to invest $1 billion into quantum computing start-up PsiQuantum.

“The problem here is that the Albanese government is pretending it’s Warren Buffett or the world’s most successful venture capitalist investor,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“So, they’ve made an all-in bet on one quantum company.

“These are very early investments – I just don’t think the government knows enough to pick a winner.”
