Psaki: Trump admin. wants press corp to be modeled after North Korea and Russia

Jen Psaki critiques the new Pentagon press corp, made up of right-wing outlets, after a wide range of news outlets turned in their badges over Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's restrictive press policies.
"Part of what protects a thriving democracy is a free press that can hold the government to account. But that is not what this administration wants ... Their goal is to model the press corps here after the fawning state-run media that follows guys like Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin around," Psaki says.
