"100+ Evictions up in 'court' again today in Limerick. Huge Garda presence once again to impose the will of the very financial institutions that have crippled this State.
We wanted to show that we are peaceful people who do not agree with how the Government are using the Guardians of the Peace to do their dirty work. It's not fair on the decent rank and file members of the Gardai, and it most certainly is not fair on us as citizens.
This is not the type of Ireland I want to live in.
A start would be to give back to the Credit Unions the €8bn that Minister Noonan pilfered from the people to prop up AIB and Bank of Ireland.
We choose to sing a few songs as a protest. Hope to continue to peacefully protest and oppose the things that are clearly unjust." - James Heffernan
